Wanderer - State Bicycle
Spec — Editorial Photography
A spec editorial concept styling State Bicycle for a culturally-driven, fashion-forward rider — outside the typical cycling-kit archetype.
A spec shoot built to expand who State Bicycle's imagery speaks to — a bike styled into the everyday world of a cultured, fashion-conscious rider, not the standard cycling-bib aesthetic.
(Concept)
Most cycling brand imagery defaults to one archetype. This concept placed State Bicycle in a different world entirely — a linen shirt, tailored slacks, loafers, and a red chieftain-style cap, set against the New Orleans riverfront skyline. The bike as daily transportation for someone who doesn't dress like a cyclist, not gear for someone who does.
(Execution)
Styled and shot on location along the riverfront, using the city's own skyline as context — positioning the bike inside a real, lived urban environment rather than a studio or typical cycling backdrop.
